Letters from the diaspora
Tel Tammer is also the rooms elsewhere that still set a plate for someone who might visit.
From Sweden, from Detroit, from Beirut, from Qamishli — the town is spoken in more than one language at the same table. English, Syrian Arabic, and Assyrian all carry different pieces of the same street.
The gallery and family pages are only a start. The harder work is still ahead: invitations, private albums, and a careful line between what a family will show the world and what it keeps.
If you have a letter, a cassette, or a photograph that should come home in digital form, use the contact page. The owner of the archive will write back.
